Microscopy

Microscopy refers to the field of study in which users observe and anlayse samples and specimens. Often which cannot be viewed with the naked eye alone. Therefore, the aid of magnification on minute samples aids users in viewing such small objects. Sometimes only mm or less, microns, inside.

There are three main sub-categories of microscopy. Each lending itself to specific purposes depending on the sector they are used in and the objects being observed. These are optical, electron, and scanning probes.

Our range of microscopy products all lie within the optical range of products. All models we offer are suitable for observing microscope slides, particularly those of geological interest. Whether industrial, for mineral exploration surveys, or academic, for education or research purposes.

As such, a number of our models offer cross-polarization as an option. Allowing users to view rock and mineral slides in colours related to birefringence.
