The KT-10 magnetic susceptibility meter is a handheld instrument that can measure the magnetic susceptibility and/or conductivity of a geological sample, material or core. It is available with circular and rectangular coil designs to measure large or small-size samples, respectively. The KT-10 meters produce repeatable results and include features such as corrections for split and full cores, the ability to input information to correlate measurements to their appropriate depths, a built-in microphone to record voice notes, and the GeoView data management/visualization software. With its compact and rugged design, the KT-10 meters are ideal instruments for use in the field, core shack, or lab.

The KT-10 magnetic susceptibility meter is geophysical instrument that exploration geologists utilise to obtain readings of samples. In order to determine their magnetic properties, such as susceptibility or conductivity. It has two coils, a circular one and a rectangular version for measuring small and larger samples respectively. This can include hand samples or core samples.

Operating at 10 kHz, they provide users with a sensitivity: 10(-6) SI units and a measuring range of 0.001 x 10(-3) to 1999.99 x 10(-3) SI units. For certain situations, a pin mode is available for measuring uneven surfaces, such as rough handle samples of aggregates. The device comes with a high-contrast LCD with 104 x 88 pixels and 8 GB of memory. Allowing users to store up to 4,000 total records.

Users can import or export the data you obtain by the KT-10 magnetic susceptibility meter via USB and Bluetooth (GPS pairing). The device runs on two AA batteries which provide many hours of field use. Three modes of operation are available: discrete measurements, continuous scanning (20 readings per second), or borehole (correlate measurements to their depth in the borehole). In addition, the overall kit is supplied with GeoView software to organize and visualize data on a PC.
