20 compartment rock chip trays featuring 20, 3 x 2.5 cm size compartments all separate to prevent mixing and cross-contamination. The trays are white plastic with a UV stabiliser to prevent fading and breakdown in the sun. It can also be written on with most colours of marker pens and feature a snap lock lid. Intended for use on mining sites, mineral exploration projects or drilling stages for the storage of fragmented aggregates such as rock and mineral chips, soil and gravel. Specifications:
20 Compartment Rock Chip Trays use a tough durable plastic in an opaque white colour which prevents light from getting through and causing UV breakdown of samples inside. The plastic also contains a UV additive that will prevent the trays from breaking down if exposed to sunlight. Each rock chip tray features a sturdy snap lock lid, which seals the compartments. This furthermore prevents cross-contamination of the samples within and stops spillage of the contents.
The 20 compartment rock chip trays measure 50 cm in length, whereas the compartments are 5 x 2.5 cm and 3 cm deep. They are suitable for the storage of rock chips on mining sites and drilling projects. Especially where the ground, soil, sediment, or rock may be too fragmented for storage in a standard core tray.
