The Estwing E6/24PC rock pick is a pointed tip, a modern geological hammer, with a weight of 680 grams and a length of 343 mm, the handle is covered in anti-shock vinyl with a pitted surface for better grip. The head features both a flat face and a pointed tip, making it suitable for breaking rock or chipping and prying. Made from a single piece of American steel for superior strength and quality.
Estwing E6/24PC rock pick is a heavily weighted geological hammer for geologists to use on mineral exploration projects drilling sites and mining.
It features a head with a pointed tip. Ideal for chipping and prying rock, or extracting fossils samples and crystals. On the opposite side, is a wider than usual, flat striking face. This makes the Estwing E6/24PC rock pick more suitable for pulverizing rock and aggregate than models such as the E30 or E3-22P. Providing more force behind each strike over a wider surface area.
Like other Estiwng tools, it features a single piece of double-tempered American steel. The handle is covered in blue vinyl material. This has excellent absorption properties, acting as a shock-reduction grip. A nylon end cap for safety is visible on the very end/bottom of the handle.
The hammer head weight comes in at 24 ounces, around 680 grams. Meaning this heavier model can offer more force per strike. However, the unique specification of this model is its wider flat striking face. For breaking, cracking, or crushing of stone, rock, massive minerals, or other materials, this feature is necessary. Allowing the user to break down such material with relative ease and over a wider surface area.
