Riffle box sample splitter are a requirement when analysing sediments and particles. Many, such as these models are bench top versions, small and handy for use in the lab or the field. Their purpose is to filter and split material fed into them according to size, into two equal measurements.

You can accomplish this according to the specific size requirement of your project. Each model has a series of slots along the top of the instrument. The number of these slots varies, depending on the model and filtering capacity. Ranging from 5 mm width to 75 mm width. Particles of the required size or less than filter through the instrument and are evenly distributed into, two collection hoppers below.

Riffle boxes (also known as sample splitters) are used either on site or at a lab for dividing aggregates into 2 equal amounts of a specific size for testing purposes. Often used for crushed aggregates or sediments other than soil, these models are made from stainless steel and electrostatically painted to prevent interference with your samples. They are manufactured to meet the relevant International standards both in the slot width and number of slots and are available in various sizes.
